What does a copywriter do?

If you've never worked with a professional copywriter, we hope this will give you an idea of how we work and the value we offer.

To write effective text for your business, a copywriter has to understand exactly what you’re thinking and what you want to achieve.

If you have already prepared a detailed brief, it will answer many of the questions we like to ask in order to understand your aims. These include:

• What do you want to say?
• Who do you want to say it to?
• What effect do you want it to have on your audience?
• How will the text be published - on a web site, in a magazine?
• What do you want your readers to do?

The answers also help us to determine the most effective style of writing, the language that your audience will understand and the best format to suit your message.

How does a copywriter work with you?

Before we start writing, Zarywacz will agree a detailed copywriting brief with you - this will ensure we both know what we are aiming to produce. This will be accompanied by a quotation so that you know precisely how much it will cost. The quotation takes into account amendments where you require reasonable changes to be made, although if you change the brief entirely we will re-quote for the entire project.

We work with you closely to ensure we achieve the suitable style and tone that you require, and seek your approval for all writing before production or publication of the completed text.

As well as writing text for you, our copywriters are happy to advise on all aspects of writing, editing and proofreading.

A freelance copywriter as and when you require

We can provide copywriting as part of a wider service - such as producing a magazine - or we can work on an ad hoc or freelance basis. This offers considerable flexibility as you can call on us for a freelance copywriter as and when you need copywriting.
